i bought this unit back in the 80's. i thought it was cool then, but now it doesn't seem to pack the right punch. i think this is because all my gear has changed. i used to use an ibanez iceman guitar which had humbuckers, and i believe it suited the ue400 better than my current strats do. it still is pretty cool and, so far, i've resisted the urge to sell it.

i opened this unit up a while back and it has some tweakable pots in it, which i've never really played around with much. i tried a couple of tweaks on the phaser and i got it sounding better, but i got bored with the exercise and just played guitar instead. this baby has also got about 14 of the famous JRC4558 chips in it.
